Get started with Student Portal

Create groups

  1. Open course section / joint section.
  2. Click the Add new function in the menu and select the Group division.
  3. Fill in a name and a description.
  4. Click on the Create groups button.
    1. Enter how many groups you want to create.
    2. Enter the name(s) of the group(s), e.g. Group.
    3. Enter the start value for the name sequence, e.g. A. The group names will now be Group A, Group B, etc.
    4. Fill in an information text to be shown in connection with each group (same text for all groups).
    5. Enter how many participants may take part in each group.
    6. Select whether the groups are to be timetabled or not.
    7. Click on the Create button.
  5. The groups will now be displayed in the table. It is possible to change names, information, etc. for each group in the table directly.
  6. Choose whether the administrator/teacher is to divide the students into groups or the students are to sign up for a group.
  7. Choose weather the groups are to be hidden or not.
  8. Choose if you want to limit the display of the groups.
  9. Click Save.
