Course information

Dear Students,

We welcome you to the course Ethnography. As you can see in the just uploaded syllabus this is a very practical and seminar intense course which places a lot of focus on you; your fieldwork, your thoughts etc. Our role is merely to guide you! We believe this will be a productive and fun course for you all. All course literature, except for Writing Ethnographic Fieldnotes by Emerson et al. is available online through the university library – so except for Emerson's book, you don’t need to waste money and forest. Note that seminars are all mandatory, but if you are ill or have other good reasons not to attend you will be given an extra writing exercise in order to make up for your absence.

See you all on November 8.

Paul and Mats
